Bootcamp for electronic dance music production
House/Techno and Drum & Bass.
17:00–18:00 Expert-led presentation: learn production techniques, from sound design to mixing strategies, tailored to your genre. You will be given guidance for the hands-on production phase (sample packs, ideas, SongStarter, etc).
18:15–21:30 hands-on music production: A practical production session where you'll work individually to create your own track in your preferred genre (1–2 min demo, basic outline of the song, e.g. break-lift-drop structure.)
21:45-22:45 Listening and feedback session: we will listen to the selected demos together, and those who wish can get feedback on the demos on the spot or privately. Bring your own laptop with a DAW uploaded on it and headphones. Optional: a soundcard, audio interface keyboard, drumpad, etc. We will provide workspace (tables 120 cm x 80 cm, chairs, power etc.)
We will also provide coffee, tea and small snacks on the house. Meals are not provided, please come prepared for a long day. You can freely take breaks during the production phase as needed.
The event is free of charge, but requires an advance registration.
